Job Title : Interim Director of Utilization Management Job Specialty : Case Management (Utilization Review) Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 8H Days, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 5 years of Utilization Management leadership experience License : Yes, willing to wait Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : - Experience managing a larger group of Utilization Management Nurses - Knowledge of change management - Familiarity with payor guidelines, CMS, and federal guidelines (government plans) Job Description : - Oversee the Utilization Management department, ensuring efficient and effective operations - Lead and manage a team of approximately 40 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) - Implement and monitor change management processes - Stay informed of and ensure compliance with payor guidelines and federal regulations - Utilize the EPIC charting system for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records - Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and resource utilization - Develop and implement strategies for improving department performance and outcomes - Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive work environment - Ensure staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively - Report and analyze department metrics to identify areas for improvement
