We'll Expect You To :
- Be responsible for design and specification of electrical systems for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities.
- Lead in preparing contract documents for plans, specifications, and cost estimates for complex projects.
- Expertly apply knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering and design concepts, principles, best practices, codes, and guidelines.
- Manage several different assignments simultaneously.
- Provide quality control and quality assurance of electrical engineering plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Perform power system studies for electrical systems including load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash evaluations and relay coordination.
- Provide equipment sizing and grounding design.
- Conduct field visits and site investigations for clients.
- Provide services during construction including submittal reviews and preparation of record drawings.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams across multiple office locations.
- Develop basis of design reports.
- Prepare proposals and interview with clients.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered California professional electrical engineer or licensure in another state with ability to obtain a California PE within 6 months.
- 8+ years of experience related to water industry in electrical engineering role.
- Strong understanding of NEC and NFPA 820.
- Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision.
