We'll Expect You To :

• Be responsible for design and specification of electrical systems for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities.
• Lead in preparing contract documents for plans, specifications, and cost estimates for complex projects.
• Expertly apply knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering and design concepts, principles, best practices, codes, and guidelines.
• Manage several different assignments simultaneously.
• Provide quality control and quality assurance of electrical engineering plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Perform power system studies for electrical systems including load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash evaluations and relay coordination.
• Provide equipment sizing and grounding design.
• Conduct field visits and site investigations for clients.
• Provide services during construction including submittal reviews and preparation of record drawings.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams across multiple office locations.
• Develop basis of design reports.
• Prepare proposals and interview with clients.

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered California professional electrical engineer or licensure in another state with ability to obtain a California PE within 6 months.
• 8+ years of experience related to water industry in electrical engineering role.
• Strong understanding of NEC and NFPA 820.
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision.
