As a Fitness Specialist, you will assist with the daily supervision and administration of the facility. This includes supervising exercise activities, monitoring exercising participants, interacting with members, creating, implementing and evaluating incentive programs, assisting with the development and instruction of group exercise classes, and more.

When you join Cleveland Clinic, you'll be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared valuesResponsibilities : Supervises exercise activities, monitors exercising participants and interacts with members to ensure that exercise programs are carried out in a safe and effective manner.
Creates, implements and evaluates incentive programs to enhance exercise adherence and retention.Assists with the development and instruction of group exercise classes.
Teaches participants on class method, purpose and procedures. Carries out other projects and duties as assigned by department supervisor or fitness center manager.
Other duties as assigned.Education : High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's Degree preferred.Languages : N / ACertifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
First-Aid, ACE and CSCS plexity of Work : Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Work Experience : One year experience in a Fitness Center environment with a background in program management and / or exercise testing desirable.
Physical Requirements : Ability to maneuver, carry, lift, bend, stoop, swim, walk and sit for extended periods of time.Personal Protective Equipment : Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
