The Recovery & Resolution Planning Manager leads development and supporting the achievement of financial objectives for assigned business line(s).

The job reports on financial results, providing interpretation through in-depth understanding of the business. The Recovery & Resolution Planning Manprovides forecasts and financial plans to drive business results, strategy and decisions.

This role will be a part of TD's U.S. Recovery and Resolution Planning team. Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) is an enterprise-wide function that ensures TD is prepared to address severe financial stress conditions and implements our practices and oversight of financial crisis management.

The RRP function is closely integrated with multiple lines of business, key control functions, and Risk Management to maintain strategies and capabilities that support recovery and resolution preparedness.

The RRP team is responsible for coordinating, developing and maintaining TD's U.S. Recovery and Resolution Plans and other regulatory submissions, as required under the Dodd-Frank Act and other applicable regulations.

Depth & Scope :

  • Gathers and reports on financial results vs. plans on an ongoing basis, providing evaluation and interpretation through an in-depth understanding of the business
  • Leads development and supports the achievement of financial objectives for assigned business line(s)
  • Develops and maintains strong business relationships with business line management
  • Provides leadership, coaching, counseling and guidance to staff
  • Develops, assigns and monitors plans to ensure completion of goals and objectives
  • Resolves escalated issues and problems by conferring with staff, other internal departments, outside contractors and others as necessary

Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economics or Master's degree in Finance
  • 7+ years' experience required

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of experience in financial contingency planning, liquidity / capital management, regulatory, risk, legal or compliance organizations in a financial institution.
  • 5+ years of experience coordinating Recovery and Resolution Plans or other similar large-scale regulatory submissions.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing programs to satisfy regulatory requirements, including working with stakeholders to understand the requirements and complete impact assessments.
  • 4+ years of experience coordinating and operationalizing a financial or operational response function within a financial organization.
  • Experience working across a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders to achieve a common result.
  • Experience with the WDesk / Workiva platform.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements issued by the Federal Reserve, FDIC and OCC that relate to financial stress preparedness.
  • Excellent analytical, risk assessment and investigative skills.
  • Must work independently, demonstrated ability to take initiative and identify more efficient ways to execute.
  • Demonstrated ability to see the big picture, make connections and anticipate consequences and outcomes of actions and decisions;

must be forward looking.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving and dynamic environment with changing and competing priorities.
  • Ability to deal with conflicting points of view and to suggest creative and responsive solutions.
