Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Test Engineer to join our dynamic technical team.

The HIL Test Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing HIL tests to ensure the functionality and performance of robotic systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, prototype builds, and HIL testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop and implement HIL test systems for various robotic components and systems.
  • Provide continuous help and support troubleshooting and fault finding on fully built robots.
  • Gather requirements and create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on system requirements and specifications.
  • Develop models and configure HIL setups to replicate real-world scenarios.
  • Perform validation and verification of control systems and software using HIL platforms.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Document test procedures, test results, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve HIL test processes and methodologies to enhance test efficiency and coverage.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in HIL testing and robotics technologies.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior team members and other departments as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HIL testing, preferably in a robotics or automotive environment.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL test systems.
  • Experience with robotic systems, sensors, and actuators is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems and real-time control systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C / C++.
  • Experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to robotics.

Desirable Qualifications :

  • Experience with autonomous robotic systems or advanced technologies (MIL spec, avionics, motorsport etc).
  • Knowledge of test methods and related frameworks.
  • Certification in relevant areas.

Working Conditions :

  • Warehouse test environment with occasional travel to test sites or customer locations.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment that is large and bulky.
  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
