We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of our Portland, OR location. Portland Glass is a regional glass fabricator focused on manufacturing high quality insulated unit, tempered, custom laminated, and fabricated glass products.
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of location operation.
Responsibilities
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Set policies and processes
- Work with Plant Manager in achieving quality and service benchmarks
- Manage sales staff
- Manage vendor relationships
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in a General Manager, Plant Manager, or Sales Manager role
- Experience in glass or relevant building materials industry
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- BSc / BA in Business or relevant field; MSc / MA is a plus
Compensation :
