Exercise Physiologist-Per Diem-Days

Hourly Pay Range : $26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position : Exercise Physiologist- Per Diem Location : Highland Park Hospital Full Time / Part Time : Per Diem, Days Hours : Monday-Friday, 6 : 30 am - 5 : 30 pm Required Travel : Float to other locations What you will do : Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' cardiovascular fitness, including exercise tolerance, strength, flexibility, and overall physical condition. Develop individualized exercise plans based on patients' medical history, clinical data, and rehabilitation goals. Lead and supervise exercise sessions for patients in the cardiac rehabilitation program, ensuring safety and proper technique. Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to exercise during sessions, making adjustments as needed. Educate patients on cardiovascular disease risk factors, lifestyle modifications, and the importance of adherence to exercise programs. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and progress. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, progress, and any changes in treatment plans. Stay informed about the latest developments in exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation to provide evidence-based care. Assist in the development of educational materials and resources for patients and their families. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development to enhance the effectiveness of the cardiac rehabilitation program. What you will need : Education : Bachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology, Masters preferred Certification : CPR or BLS - American Heart Association (AHA) Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
