Night Call :

  • Monday - Thursday

    • Assignment :

  • Responsibilities :
  • Work 5 days per week and every other weekend hospital rounding.
  • General Gastroenterology Inpatient and Outpatient services performing GI-related procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy with biopsy and cautery.
  • Shift times : Weekdays : Monday-Thursday 7 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM, Friday 7 : 00 AM-12 PM.
  • Weekend call will be Friday 12 PM to the following Monday at 8 AM. If Monday is a holiday, call extends to Tuesday at 8 AM.
  • Setting : Suburban

    • Details :

  • Duties : General Gastroenterology Inpatient and Outpatient Service
  • Required Procedures : EGD, Colonoscopy with biopsy, cautery
  • EMR : Epic
  • Patients per Day : 20 in clinic, 4 to 10 inpatient
  • Support Staff : MA / LVN, Office Assistant, Practice Manager
  • Reason for Coverage : GI provider on FMLA
  • Deal Breakers : Unwilling to provide all services requested.

    • Additional Information :

  • Typical Cases : Outpatient and inpatient general gastroenterology
  • Surgeons Supported : 2 general surgeons
  • Additional APP : 1 APP (outpatient clinic only Monday through Friday)
  • Hospital Volume : Between 4 and 10 inpatients
  • Follow-up on Patients : GI physician will follow patients in the hospital until discharged.
  • Call Details : Saturday and Sunday rounding for either hospital on-call coverage or weekend clinic coverage. Current providers alternate weekend clinic coverage. Average callback hours can be provided upon request.
