We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tosca Automation Engineer with a strong emphasis on SQL and API testing to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Tosca for applications with a focus on SQL databases and API integrations.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in automation testing, a deep understanding of SQL queries, and experience testing RESTful APIs.
Your future duties and responsibilities :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application functionality and requirements for effective test design.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Tosca, with a primary focus on SQL databases and API testing.
- Create and maintain automated test cases for end-to-end testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of SQL data interactions and API functionalities.
- Perform data validation by crafting SQL queries to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data stored in databases.
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for API testing, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our applications.
Collaborate with developers to identify, isolate, and resolve defects related to SQL and API functionalities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies related to automation testing, SQL, and API testing.
- Perform manual testing until automation is in place.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tosca Automation Engineer with a focus on SQL and API testing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL queries, data validation, and database testing.
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Tosca.
- In-depth knowledge of API testing tools and frameworks, with hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) processes and tools.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $68,700 - $190,100.
