Building & Utilities Manager – Danville, VA
Salary : $75,000 – $95,000 | Direct Hire | Hours : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm
Graham Personnel Services is excited to partner with a fast-growing global manufacturing company operating in 130+ markets worldwide, with facilities across five countries. We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Building & Utilities Manager to join the dynamic team in Danville, VA.
This is a unique opportunity for a manufacturing-focused leader to oversee the maintenance and technical services programs across all factory areas, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with environmental and operational standards.

What You’ll Do
Capital Projects & Equipment Installation
Support safe, effective, and timely implementation of capital investment projects.Oversee contractors during installation and construction phases.Collaborate with the Engineering Manager on installations, conversions, power, and automation equipment.Maintenance & Operations Management
Plan, monitor, and manage the maintenance budget, including energy consumption KPIs.Ensure all building and utilities equipment (electrical, HVAC, boilers, compressors, pumps, etc.) are maintained and optimized for efficiency.Provide reliable energy and utility supply for production, warehouses, and administrative areas.Maintain compliance with local legislation, ISO standards, and company policies.Continuous Improvement & Daily Management
Act as Cell Lead for Building & Utilities, implementing IWS / Daily Management Systems (CIL, IE, DH, DDS, 90-day plans).Coordinate technical activities with EHS standards and 5S3R practices.Participate in Lean / continuous improvement initiatives and PDCA cycles.Team Leadership & Talent Development
Manage and mentor direct reports, overseeing training, motivation, and development.Ensure all licenses and certifications are current for safe operation of equipment.Financial & Asset Management
Manage assets and spare parts inventory in SAP, including ordering and write-offs.What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.5+ years in a managerial role with experience in industrial maintenance management.Strong knowledge of machinery, building and utilities standards, and EHS compliance.Fluency in English (written and spoken).Key Skills & Competencies
Leadership, team collaboration, and self-motivation.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.Strong mechanical / electrical engineering knowledge.Ability to manage multiple priorities while being open-minded and eager to learn.Perks & Benefits
