in the Nursing Learning Laboratory Fall 2024
Definition of Position :
The teaching assistant, as the representative of Lakeland Community College, is primarily responsible for instructing and evaluating students in the Nursing Learning Laboratory, using the philosophy of the Department of Nursing as a basis for instruction.
This position reports to the Nursing Learning Lab Coordinators.
Hours : 24 hours per week (3 days per week one of the three days will include an evening requirement).

Qualifications :
I. Educational Preparation
A. Broad, general education which includes natural and social sciences.
B. Professional
1. MSN required
2. A minimum of two (2) years of current experience in clinical nursing practice. Medical / Surgical Nursing Preferred.
3. Teaching experience preferred.
II. Responsibilities
A. Functions as a resource person in the Learning Lab to facilitate student learning
B. Evaluates student performance on selected nursing skills
C. Provides teaching / learning on selected nursing skills under the direction of the Learning Lab Coordinators. Assist with set-up and take-down of College Lab
D. Assists in maintaining the safety of Learning Lab environment
E. Administrative duties as assigned by the Learning Lab Coordinators
