We are seeking a highly skilled eLearning Developer who can support our growing course list in the Environment, Health and Safety, Human Resources and Leadership and Development content teams.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in eLearning development tools such as Articulate Storyline. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and interactive eLearning content.

The eLearning Developer needs to have experience in instructional design principles, multimedia development, eLearning technologies, time management, and organizational skills.

Job Summary :

The eLearning Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing eLearning courses and supplemental materials for Simplify Compliance customers.

The eLearning Developer will engage and collaborate with various sponsors including Editorial staff, and Learning & Development colleagues.

This role will assist with the of leverage adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and user experience best practices for the continuous improvement of Simplify Compliance learning assets.

The primary focus of this role is to develop eLearning courses.

Primary Duties and Responsibility :

  • Use Articulate Storyline and other design and development tools to synchronize audio, design layouts, edit course content, and publish eLearning courses consistently
  • Design and develop eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline; assist at all phases throughout the design and development lifecycle, including working with Editorial to understand the scope of the project and set expectations, write scripts for video and audio content, and create visual, audio, and interactive learning tools
  • Maintain existing courses as applicable; incorporate user experience enhancements, apply instructional design best practices, and apply updates as applicable to art, graphics, learning treatments, and subject matter to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Provide input for supplemental material templates and overarching designs; ensure accuracy relative to subject matter and adherence to standards through peer reviews, ensure brand standards are maintained and not diluted
  • Collaborate with voice-over talent, content development teams, internal SMEs, and other members of the eLearning team to develop eLearning deliverables according to the timelines set in the Production queue
  • Update and maintain department records as needed, such as but not limited to control and edit logs, quality control checklists and guidelines, and various data points

The Individual :

  • Strong experience with eLearning course-building tools, specifically Articulate Storyline (preferred) or similar
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to independently manage multiple projects in a demanding environment
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and geographically dispersed work environment
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to efficiently acquire new skills based on emerging technologies.
  • Experience using audio / video editor software
  • Technically proficient and possess creative and intuitive problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge and practical application of adult learning principles to products to facilitate learning and enhance user experience
  • Proficient in instructional design theories and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook as well as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
  • Graphic Design and Consulting experience a plus

Qualifications :

Bachelors Degree (Instructional Design, Leaning and Development, Education, or similar) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
