Slide Block Warehouse Clerk

Job Summary

This position under the direction of the Anatomic Path Support Services Director assists with the day-to-day functions of slide block management.

Essential Functions

• Receive and process requests for slide(s) and / or block(s).
• Log all material, incoming and outgoing, for tracking.
• Answer departmental phone calls.
• Routine clerical duties including copying, filing, and faxing.
• Assist with auditing of slide(s) and / or blocks(s).
• Assist with material maintenance and purging.
• Interact with internal departments / external warehouse for coordination of material requests.
• Communicate pertinent information / issues to supervisor, manager or other appropriate individual.
• Abide by all regulatory, company and departmental regulations, policies and procedures, including the Corporate Compliance Program.
• Contribute to a positive work climate and to the team effort of the department and company.
• Exercise all laboratory safety precautions and adhere to lab procedures as stated in procedure manuals.
• Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.
