Sr. Linux Systems/Azure Cloud Engineer

ITCON Services is seeking to hire a motivated and knowledgeable Sr. Linux Systems / Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team.

This position is responsible for providing wide-ranging systems administration and engineering infrastructure support for multiple computing environments.

The support includes builds, configurations, patching, and adjustments for infrastructure systems such as server hardware, virtualization platforms, cloud environments, operating systems, Webservers, App Servers, firewalls, web proxies and other network devices.

The support includes value added services such as Active Directory, DNS, Splunk, and custom script solutions and will involve coordination with services providers.

The position is responsible for remediation of vulnerabilities by applying security patches as and when released by product vendors.

The candidate will be expected to work with minimal supervision, employ effective time management skills to organize and handle multiple highly visible priorities, projects, and products simultaneously.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in management information systems or related field preferred

Has 10+ experience providing production support, platform / server administration support, and environment standardization for development, test, and Production for both Windows and Linux (Red Hat and other)

Has experience with architecture, design, development, implementation of Azure-based solutions

Has experience with migration of applications from On-Premises to Azure Cloud

Experience with JBoss, Wildfire, Payara, Tomcat, ASP.NET, IIS, support, maintenance, and administration.

Experience with VMs build out using Windows and Red Hat Linux, and implementation of public websites using IaaS and PaaS based environments

Experience providing technical and system administration support through troubleshooting, identifying and isolating issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing appropriate solutions to software and system anomalies

Experience in performing scans and remediating vulnerabilities in Linux and Windows environments

Experience implementing monitoring tools and remediation of issues for public websites

Ability to develop and maintains system / security documentation as needed

Experience with Linux and network administration, proficiency in UNIX utilities and scripting such as Perl, Ansible, Shell

Has strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., BGP, TCP / UDP, IP)

Experience providing network admin support for internet connectivity, Akamai services, TIC integration, Firewall rules, ACLs, and trusted connections.

Experience establishing database Connectivity (MS SQL Server, ODBC, JDBC), support, maintenance, and administration.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Certified Azure Administrator

Red Hat Certified System Administrator

Experience in configuration and maintenance of Azure DevSecOps

Experience in Docker
