Our client, a technology company specializing in sophisticated hardware and analytics solutions, is seeking an Accounting Manager.
This role is crucial for managing corporate accounting areas, including revenue, inventory, fixed assets, and significant accruals.
The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the San Francisco office (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company that plans to scale significantly over the next 18 months.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and perform general accounting functions, including preparing financial reports and analysis, providing audit support, and maintaining general ledgers.
- Oversee Staff Accountant in performing accounts payable and month-end close procedures.
- Responsible for inventory costing, transactions, reconciliation, and allowance in accordance with US GAAP.
- Handle revenue recognition, customer invoicing, and collections.
- Act as the point of contact for issues with procure-to-pay and expense systems, and review coding and documentation.
- Maintain and improve documentation quality of reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets and accrued expenses.
- Assist with local and federal tax filings and reporting requirements.
- Perform monthly fluctuation analyses of income statement accounts for presentation to senior leadership.
- Support year-end financial statement audits and other periodic audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce time to close and improve accuracy of accounting records.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 6-8 years of related experience, preferably with public accounting and industry experience.
- 2-3 years of experience leading a team.
- Direct ERP experience required, NetSuite preferred.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure : $150K - $165K per year.
