Job Summary :

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers and ensuring efficient operation of the medical office.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
  • Gather patient information, including medical history and insurance details, and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare and stock examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Administer basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections as permitted.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up reminders.
  • Coordinate laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and wellness strategies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment adhering to infection control standards.
  • Perform administrative tasks including answering phones, managing correspondence, and processing billing information.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or related field preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered attitude.
