Manager for Systems Engineering responsible for developing new energetic products, adaptive engineering of existing energetic product lines, sustaining current energetic product lines, and providing requirements support within the Propulsions site.
The Systems Engineering Manager will be involved in all phases of the product life, including proposal preparation, brainstorming sessions, design, supplier support, manufacturing support, non-conforming material analysis, qualification testing, failure investigations, and sustaining activities.
Our facility manufactures and tests explosive, propellant, and cartridge-actuated devices. From small, discrete devices to canopy removal systems, our facilities support a nearly unlimited selection of products.

Primary Responsibilities : Lead and manage the systems requirements engineering team, providing guidance and mentorship to the team membersDefine and document systems requirements for mechanical and propulsion products, ensuring alignment with program needs and objectivesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical design, chemistry, materials, manufacturing test, program management, quality, and operationsFacilitate requirements workshops and review with stakeholders to gather, validate, and prioritize requirementsManage requirement changes and traceability throughout the project lifecycleDevelop and maintain requirements management tools and methodologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practicesStay updated on industry trends and advancements in systems engineering and requirements managementAccountable for meeting program goals including cost and scheduleResponsible for capturing lessons learned and implementing corrective actionsSupport Pursuit & Order capture activities including bidding & estimation efforts for new programsBasic Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is requiredMust be a U.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
