The Regional Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for direct fundraising tasks under the supervision of the Director of Philanthropy.
This position will represent Hope through Housing and National CORE in the community and focus on relationship building, new business development and donor relations with the goal of raising financial support for Hope through Housing.
The Regional Philanthropy Manager will work throughout the Dallas / Fort Worth region with the following responsibilities.
RES PO NSIBI L I T IES
Fundraising
- In coordination with the Philanthropy Team, research & determine future fund development opportunities as they pertain to Hope's overall goals and objectives.
- Assist with HTHF Regional Expansion, building relationships with new businesses / vendors throughout the Dallas / Fort Worth region .
- Assist with special events, grant development, and individual cultivation activities as needed.
- Assist with regional Circle of Hope donor engagement & stewardship.
- Create and manage a regional Executive Leadership Council and Women of Hope affinity group. This includes identifying key business leaders for involvement, stewardship and events.
- Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward organizational prospects including corporations, foundations and government sources.
- Develop relationships with and secure new major contributions from companies, foundations, and individuals.
- Create New Business Development initiative to develop funding pipeline for HTHF.
Community Engagement
- Serve as HTHF / CORE ambassador and representative throughout the Dallas / Fort Worth region , attending community meetings and events, with the goal of building funding and volunteer partnerships.
- Create new partnerships that align their interests with the needs of Hope, resulting in volunteerism, in-kind services, and financial support.
- Coordinate / schedule introductory meetings with new businesses, hosting tours and making introductions to HTHF Vice President and Director of Philanthropy.
- Must attend Company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which, from time to time, may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee's home.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
A Regional Philanthropy Manager should have the ability to :
- Work easily within Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Write clearly and concisely.

- Successfully solicit funds from a variety of donors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Required : A minimum of 3 to 5 years of industry experience in progressively responsible positions.
- Preferred : BA / BS degree in related field.
The Regional Philanthropy Manager will have significant experience with the following :
- Ability to build relationships with a variety of people and confidence in navigating a variety of constituencies and geographic areas.
- Demonstrated success with building relationships and partnerships that lead to tangible results.
- Demonstrated success with securing corporate sponsorships, grants and funding.
- Familiarity with nonprofit social services and affordable housing financing, development and management.
- A dedication to making a difference in the lives of low-income individuals.
- Work harmoniously with clients, consultants and other professionals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Operate computer and office equipment.
- Moderate walking, bending and lifting under 20 pounds.
- Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
- Exposure to the elements for site tours, ground breakings and other similar events
- Driving will be required for offsite meetings as needed.
