The Department of Family Medicine at Atrium Health is seeking an Academic Hospitalist for our medical school affiliated medical center, CMC Mercy Hospital.
Responsibilities include hospital-based patient care, teaching, and supervision of family medicine and psychiatry residents and students from the Wake Forest School of Medicine.
Position Highlights :
- 1.0 FTE (0.9 Hospital / 0.1 Education)
- Provide hospital-based patient care as the Attending Physician
- Faculty responsibilities will include teaching, evaluating, and supervision of family medicine and psychiatry residents and medical students, serving as an advisor for residents, and possibly developing curriculum
- Access to faculty professional development, additional system level care management resources, and virtual technology
- Opportunities for scholarly work as part of core faculty
- Home night call required - approximately 1-2 times / month
- Proximity to our main campus at Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center and Uptown Charlotte
Ideal Candidate :
- Prior experience in hospital settings
- Prior experience in education
