Pay Information

$115 to $125 per hour

About The Position

A leading cardiac surgery team in Springfield, OH is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA) for locum coverage . This opportunity is ideal for providers with prior cardiac surgical or critical care experience looking to work in a fast-paced, adult and geriatric patient setting.

Job Details :

Report directly to Cardiovascular Surgeon

Average patient volume : 5–10 per day

Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery experience preferred; Critical Care experience considered

Adult and geriatric patient demographic

EMR : Epic

Key Duties : Write prescriptions

Coordinate patient care and manage rounding

Interpret and order tests

Assist in surgical procedures (optional)

Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduit (optional)

Note : Surgical NP candidates may also be considered. This role is not open to new graduates .

Job Requirements

Board Certified PA-C – Required

OH State License – Preferred; providers able to obtain quickly will be considered

ACLS Certification – Required

COVID Vaccination – Required

Prior Cardiothoracic Surgery experience preferred; Critical Care experience acceptable
