Job Title : Data Scientist

Work Location

Location : Bellevue WA

Job Description :

  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc analyses of trends observed in key business and product metrics tracked by the team.
  • Respond within a sub-week turnaround to questions regarding the possible causes of notable changes in metrics.
  • Provide supporting commentary and visualizations at an appropriate level for organizational leadership to digest.
  • Develop a repeatable methodology for efficient investigations.
  • Explore the suitability of various methods, including machine learning, multiple correspondence analysis, causal modeling, and others, to rapidly identify parsimonious descriptions of trends.
  • Utilize historical examples as test cases to confirm root causes.
  • Create scripts to be run daily in production to test every key metric for potential changes in behavior.
  • Define basic alerting thresholds for key metrics.

Required Technical Skills :

  • Data mining
  • Data visualization (Power BI)
  • Expertise in SQL and other scripting languages.
  • Statistical inference
  • Machine learning

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and visualization.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical inference and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
