Role Summary :
The Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is integral to the development and delivery of training focused on cancer content and clinical trials within a contact center environment.
This role requires leveraging expertise in oncology to enhance training programs and provide mentorship, ensuring the team is well-equipped to handle specialized inquiries effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and delivery of training curriculum focusing on cancer content and clinical trials, tailored for a contact center setting.
- Provide expert guidance to trainers and develop high-quality educational materials for initial and continuing training.
- Coach and mentor Information Specialists and Supervisors in managing clinical trials inquiries through various communication channels.
- Collaborate with the Contact Center Manager (CCM) to mentor Supervisors, enhancing their leadership and operational capabilities.
Qualifications :
- Must hold at least one of the following certifications : OCN®, CPON®, AOCNP®, or AOCNS®.
- Extensive expertise in cancer content and clinical trials, with a strong preference for recent clinical experience in an oncology setting or involvement in academic research.
- Experience in curriculum development and training delivery, preferably within a contact center environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively mentor and coach both peers and subordinates in a dynamic, fast-paced contact center.
- Excellent communication skills, critical for effective training, mentorship, and team collaboration in a healthcare-focused contact center environment.
