Real Life Children’s Ranch exists to provide a Christian residential group home that cares for boys and girls who have been abused, abandoned, and / or neglected.
Real Life Children’s Ranch is a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization approved by the State of Florida. The children typically range in age from five to seventeen.

Job Summary
Serve as the Executive Director for Real Life Children’s Ranch. Provide leadership, direction and supervision for Real Life Children’s Ranch.
Oversee the management of Real Life Children’s Ranch operations and maintain positive relations with the Lead Agency / CBC, DCF, and the community.
Have the authorization for negotiating, signing and entering into contracts on behalf of the Board.
Duties
Ensure contracts with other agencies including DCF and the lead agency are in compliance. Ensure services performed are delivered in a culturally competent manner.
- Ensure coordination with other entities, such as but not limited to, DCF, lead agency, courts and other agencies.
- Develop resources and sources of support for Real Life Children’s Ranch and comply with regulatory requirements of standard accounting practices.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with DCF, lead agencies, other agencies, other boards, volunteers, media, and donors.
- Recruit and hire staff for Real Life Children’s Ranch, manage and evaluate work performance and personnel issues.
- Manage and provide oversight of foster homes including recruitment, licensing, re-licensing, quarterly home visits, and foster parent support.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in social work or a related area of study from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in human services or child welfare programs.
Desired Skills
- Understanding and experience in oversight of foster home licensing.
- Ability to analyze, negotiate and implement contracts, plans, policies and budgets.
- Ability to interact with and maintain high morale among employees.
- Ability to travel.
