Title : Construction Project Manager

Location : Massillon, OH

Employment Type : Full-time, (Hybrid Position - 3 days a week)

Responsibilities :

  • Contractor Management : Select, contract, and oversee contractors for various needs such as design, procurement, and installation throughout the datacenter construction process.
  • Quality Assurance : Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure work meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Leadership in Planning : Lead initial planning stages by collaborating with clients, engineers, or other parties to develop detailed job descriptions, scopes of work, and material requirements.
  • Project Coordination : Schedule and coordinate projects efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are maintained.
  • Communication and Documentation : Facilitate regular meetings to update stakeholders on project progress and document updates for internal teams.
  • Budget Management : Prepare budget estimates, communicate progress to leadership, and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to budget.
  • Safety Compliance : Ensure safety standards are followed on-site and all safety codes are met during construction.
  • Issue Resolution : Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve problems, complaints, or issues arising during construction.
  • Emergency Management : Manage and lead actions required due to delays, emergencies, or bad weather at construction sites.
  • Relationship Building : Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders involved in the construction process.
  • Other Duties : Perform other related duties as assigned.

Standout Qualifications :

  • Global Communication : Ability to effectively communicate with overseas team members.
  • Flexibility and Commitment : Willingness to work beyond regular hours to coordinate activities and share information with overseas teams.
  • Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering with at least 8 years of construction and project management experience.

PMP certification preferred.

  • Technical Expertise : Familiarity with medium and low voltage power supply systems, electrical engineering background preferred.
  • Contractual Understanding : Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, ability to interpret engineering and construction drawings.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities : Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions under pressure and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
  • Multitasking and Time Management : Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems, with strong time management skills and a sense of priorities.
  • Detail Orientation : Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements : Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of the job site in all types of weather and may require travel and exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
  • Availability : Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the job site.
