Position description

The Department of Sociology at UCLA invites applications for part-time lecturers to teach lower division undergraduate courses during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Part-time positions may be available to include, but not limited to the following courses :

SOC 132 : Social Psychology : Sociological Approaches

SOC 134 : Culture & Personality

SOC 145 : Sociology of Deviant Behavior

SOC 147A : Sociology of Crime

SOC 156 : Race & Ethnicity

SOC 158 : Urban Sociology

SOC 171 : Occupations and Professions

SOC 172 : Entrepreneurship

SOC M174 : Sociology of the Family

SOC M175 : Sociology of Education

SOC M176 : Sociology of Mass Communication

SOC 180A : Politics of Reproduction

SOC 182 : Political Sociology

Submitted applications will be kept on file. A Ph.D. in Sociology or another social science, excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
