Position Overview :
The Treatment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the clinical treatment planning for all youth within the cottage(s) to which they are assigned.
The Treatment Coordinator chairs monthly treatment planning meeting(s) utilizing the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) for each youth placed in residential care.
Treatment planning meetings include the multidisciplinary team, which consists of clinical and direct care staff, focus on ensuring all youth needs are met and that treatment is progressing towards discharge.
Using the treatment model as a guide, the Treatment Coordinator advises on the needs and treatment strategies that will be most beneficial for the youth and family at any given time.
The Treatment Coordinator is also responsible for providing clinical services to residents and their families. The employee will be engaged in treatment, assessment, and consultation.
The Treatment Coordinator shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) team, supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population.
The Treatment Coordinator is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior modification (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping).
The Treatment Coordinator is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.
Position Qualifications :
Licensed in NYS in the mental health field- LMSW, LMFT, LMHC plus minimum two years clinical experience.
Preferred experience includes :
- Training and experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy; Training and experience in conducting individual therapy with children and adolescents;
- Training and experience in conducting family therapy; Training and Experience working with residential treatment; Training and experience running group treatment;
Treatment and Experience conducting meetings. Must be articulate and possess excellent writing skills. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
