As an Associate or Senior Associate, you will support clients with complex financial accounting and reporting challenges by providing the technical knowledge and know-how.
This is a unique opportunity to work on different types of projects including acquisitions and divestitures, adoption of accounting standards, capital markets transactions, developing and documenting conclusions on technical accounting matters, IPO readiness, preparation of financial statements, SEC Reporting, etc.
Furthering your development in these areas, you will have the opportunity to serve clients ranging from global industry leaders to private company start-ups.
These clients will span many different industries, where you will be working closely with all levels of management in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform research over complex technical accounting and financial reporting challenges; developing conclusions to support or form positions
- Obtain background information and data from client to fully understand the nature of the technical accounting or financial reporting challenge
- Analyze and reconcile client financial data and operational information to support conclusions
- Write detailed technical accounting memos that describes the issues, references to applicable Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.
S. GAAP), and details the assessment performed and conclusions reached
- Provide pre- and post-transaction accounting support for acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs, debt offerings, etc.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and other regulatory filings (e.g. 10-K, 10-Q, S-1, 144A, etc.)
- Assist clients in preparing for and completing audits; liaise with internal and external auditors
- Manage project resources to ensure the completion of tasks and progress towards milestones
- Provide support to project and service line leaders
- Take part in training and development programs to expand knowledge and improve skillset
- Bring your own unique ideas and talents to assist in business development and other growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) or related field
- 3 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in professional services and / or public or corporate accounting
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred) or currently working towards certification
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
