Immediate need for a Senior Accountant to join a Project-Based energy company in Tucker, GA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Controller by overseeing the revenue recognition process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and various corporate accounting matters.
Essential Functions :
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package and related schedules for submission to Corporate.
- Review job performance for the month, proposing revenue accruals as necessary during the month-end close process for operating units.
- Provide variance analysis and narratives for balance sheet and income statement accounts on a quarterly basis.
- Reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts monthly and prepare various journal entries for month-end close.
- Collaborate with external auditors to prepare for, conduct, and complete audits, addressing issues and accounting interpretation matters related to GAAP.
- Make recommendations for alternative procedures and improvements to financial reporting processes.
- Ensure internal control compliance in areas of responsibility, including developing and documenting related processes and controls.
- Prepare and submit workers comp reports.
- Assist in compiling the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and supporting schedules.
- Assist in uploading annual budget and reforecasts into the ERP system.
Technical Skills :
- Considerable knowledge of internal control procedures and management information systems.
- Working knowledge of office automation and computerized financial applications.
- Considerable knowledge of accounting and reporting systems.
- Ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports.
- Ability to maintain efficient and effective financial systems and procedures.
Compensation :
- Up to $95,000 base salary plus a 10% bonus.
- 15 PTO days.
Work Environment :
- Hybrid remote work environment with 3 days per week in the office.
