Responsibilities
Working with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, our Registered Nurses provide evidence-based care to acutely ill adult medical patients who are admitted primarily from the Emergency Department, or transferred from the Critical Care Unit.
As a designated stroke unit, our Registered Nurses are trained to provide specialty care to this specific population. Our Registered Nurses specialize in cardiac care and are certified in ACLS to recognize and intervene during emergencies.
In addition to comprehensive patient assessments and diverse skill performance, our Registered Nurses collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure patients receive high quality care.
Requirements
- A diploma / degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with the (MBON) Maryland Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire, within 18 months of hire if new graduate.
