Forbes Books offers an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our Corporate Marketing team. This individual is an experienced marketer who understands how to execute marketing campaigns that build brand awareness and generate traffic, and how to optimize on-page experiences and nurturing journeys to drive qualified marketing leads.

This role encompasses key responsibilities in digital advertising, prospect journey management, and campaign management.

The mission of this job is to generate >

$25M in annual sales that result from marketing qualified leads.

As a Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating and optimizing marketing campaigns that resonate with key audiences.

You will directly manage and optimize online paid advertising to attract prospects through ad platforms such as Google, LinkedIn, Bing, etc, alongside non-paid internal and external channels to leverage existing communities.

You will use knowledge of the prospect and customer journey to create and optimize key conversion points and leverage marketing automation, personalization, and key messaging campaigns that resonate with key personas during crucial journey moments.

You will join a rapidly growing company, bringing your expertise in marketing communications and advertising to spearhead the development of new campaigns and initiatives aimed at propelling the business forward.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will be instrumental in implementing effective marketing strategies and optimizing engagement through personalization, automation, and reporting on metrics.

The Marketing Manager will develop campaign briefs, partner with the creative team during asset creation and production, and manage the distribution and execution of assets across paid and unpaid channels, including websites, landing pages, search, social, email, webinars, print, event support materials, sales enablement tools, etc.

The Marketing Manager will also conduct keyword research, set up and manage advertising campaigns in LinkedIn, Google, Bing, and other online platforms, manage lead list campaigns, and assist with corporate promotional support and event management needs.

The Marketing Manager will also participate in the development, execution, and maintenance of email marketing programs in Pardot, along with supporting complementary cadences in Salesforce.

This includes managing automated email campaigns, nurturing programs, lead scoring, personalization, and adhering to data cleanliness best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute top-of-funnel plans and processes that fuel conversion and meaningful pipeline growth
  • Research, set up, and manage digital advertising campaigns in search and social media platforms
  • Create different automated campaigns based on customer personas and lifecycle
  • Work with copywriter, design, and web development team to establish branded creative assets, including photography, video, landing pages, and proper tracking for ad campaigns
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance.
  • Put different elements to the test - run trials on your ad creative, landing page designs, beta opportunities, new vendors, and other campaign elements to maximize results
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures governing email release, messaging, best practices; ensure CAN-SPAM compliance and safe data protection processes
  • Research and manage inventory and use of promotional materials, working with VP, Marketing
  • Support corporate sponsorships and events, coming up with ways to support and leverage campaigns to help the team maximize value through digital campaigns and amplification, and onsite "hands on deck" and creative materials, as needed
  • Develop and execute A / B tests for website copy, creative, and experience, working with design, copywriting, and web development teams.

Measure results and create a disciplined, continuous improvement cadence.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • Understanding of lead generation procedures and customer life cycle
  • At least 3 years of digital marketing experience, especially in search marketing campaign management, email / marketing automation, A / B testing, audience segmentation, and creative asset personalization
  • Experience running and optimizing a digital advertising budget of greater than $1,000,000
  • Knowledge and experience with lead attribution methodologies and web analytics tracking
  • Comfort with working to tight deadlines and strong attention to detail
  • This role requires deep knowledge of the major ad platforms and lead flow interaction with Salesforce and other related platforms
  • Demonstrated business acumen and track record of building successful digital advertising campaigns with strong sales ROI and within set budgets
  • Hands-on Google Ads experience required, Microsoft Ads, or related certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, specifically for trend analysis using pivot tables, vlookups, etc., a major plus
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement Specialist certification is a major plus
  • 4-year college degree required
