Job Summary : Assists in the teaching and facilitating math labs. Supports the Math Instructor in maintaining the math lab on the designated campus.
Minimum Required Education :
- Required : Associates Degree with some coursework in mathematics or a related field; or a combination of experience and education that yields the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Preferred : Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Required Experience :
Preferred : Some teaching experience
Essential Job Functions :
- Supports the Mathematics Instructor in teaching lab sections. Monitors resources and equipment and notifies the Mathematics Instructor of needed materials and / or equipment repairs.
- Prepares, grades, and reports lab assignments and quizzes.
- Attends departmental reviews for updates and training as needed.
- Operate instructional technology including Schoology and distance learning tools.
- Consults with Math Instructor to identify assigned student's learning and assistance needs.
- Provides academic support services and basic skill tutorials through diverse teaching methods.
- Assists students in targeted subject areas via individual and / or group tutoring.
- Model and encourage collaborative study strategies.
- Contributes to a friendly and productive learning environment.

- Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to operate an IBM compatible computer and other standard office equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements :
Light work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
