Overview
Aligns human resources with business objectives in designated locations and / or functional areas. Partners with location and function management on human resources-related issues while acting as a champion for employees and a change agent.
Responsibilities
Implements the human resources strategy and associated initiatives by partnering with assigned locations or functions . This includes identify ing , prioritiz ing , and build ing organizational capabilities, behaviors and structures .
- Supports management in assigned locations or functions in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with business strategy
- Participates in the development of h uman r esources long-range plan and annual operating plan
- Drives the people processes (performance, development, and career) to ensure that employees' level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards
- Provides advice and coaching to leaders, managers and employees as appropriate
- Manages specific projects as determined in the annual HR operati ng plan as well as pa rticipating i n functional and cross-functional initiatives
- Collaborates within H R team to develop, document and recommend continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions
- Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to : interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees;
planning, assigning and directing work; EEO / AA; performance management; department budget
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Job Skills Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of principles & practices of HR, including HR regulations and compliance
- Experience in building business plan and / or HR strategy development
- Skilled in employee relations with demonstrated ability to partner and influence at all levels in the business and to be viewed as a credible, valuable source of information and integral part of management team
- Experience building and / or delivering change management and organizational development strategies
- Strong organization and time management / project management skills necessary to prioritize and oversee project or team with multiple assignments and to meet set deadlines;
ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees
- Fluent in English and local language(s) as needed
- Solid computer skills
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management , b usiness, or equivalent education and experience; master's degree highly preferred
Experience Requirements
Ten years of related professional, progressive experience in human resources, manufacturing preferred, with a minimum three years management experience
Certifications
- PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred
