Senior Quality Engineer
Servomex, the world leader in gas analysis, is looking to expand our Quality Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our high performing team at our site in Woburn.
The successful candidate will work closely with our manufacturing teams at our US Technical Center to build quality through all of what we do.
Reporting to the Global Head of Quality, the Senior Quality Engineer will drive improvements to the next level, with respect to accuracy, security, and safety.
This will ensure the successful delivery of first-class products to our customers and continue to enhance our reputation.
About the role :
- Drive manufacturing improvements by coaching manufacturing teams through problem solving activities
- Assist operations and local quality functions in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality assurance key performance indicators
- Maintain and drive Quality related KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Liaise with suppliers to address quality issues with purchased parts
- Manage and drive a resolution system for customer complaints and reported quality issues, to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
- Develop manufacturing process controls, identifying, where necessary, any improvements that are required
- Facilitate and lead process and product improvement projects
- Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards
About You :
Essential Skills, Experience and Education :
- A Degree (or equivalent) in an engineering / electronics / manufacturing discipline
- Solid and progressive experience within a quality (or closely related) role in a related manufacturing industry / sector
- Proven and demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience of New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated and substantial experience and knowledge of implementing process controls and supporting and complying with best practices
Desirable Qualities :
- Experience and knowledge of Lean 6 sigma techniques
- ISO9001 Quality Management / Auditing
- Experience of working within an electronics environment
- Experience in the facilitating of Lean events
- Minitab
- Lean Six Sigma Green / Black belt qualification / Practitioner
