Salary : $120,000 / year AND bonus incentives

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead our dedicated team in providing exceptional care to patients in need of emergency medical services.

As the Director of Emergency Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing resources, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Identify and address challenges affecting the Emergency Services department, implementing effective solutions with clear communication and follow-through.
  • Actively participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees, representing the department and providing ongoing communication.
  • Advance the patient experience agenda within the Emergency Department.
  • Coach and provide feedback to subordinates, facilitate their professional development plans, and document job performance.
  • Adhere to all Human Resource policies and effectively communicate departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff.
  • Build strong relationships and networks to achieve organizational and departmental goals.
  • Monitor and enforce standards of emergency department care, developing processes to ensure consistent compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing emergency services program that aligns with the hospital's mission and ensures quality patient care.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies related to patient services, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Oversee a performance improvement program that consistently monitors and evaluates critical aspects of care.
  • Maintain operational excellence in the department, ensuring the delivery of quality services in accordance with policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Seek new program strategies and enhancements to expand patient services.
  • Develop and prioritize capital equipment requests.
  • Manage the department's fiscal resources and ensure proper utilization of the organization's financial assets.
  • Demonstrate a poised and confident demeanor, earning respect within the organization and the community.
  • Develop and maintain strategic external networks.
  • Promote positive patient interactions that prioritize exceptional patient service.
  • Practice and adhere to the organization's "Code of Conduct" philosophy and mission and value statement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (required).
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration (MHA), Nursing (MSN), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience as a Director of Emergency Services in a hospital setting (required).
  • Current registered professional nurse license in the state of practice (required).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (required).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
  • Knowledge of human resource management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards (preferred).

Additional Information :

  • 22.5% bonus incentive based on performance.
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus.
  • $10,000 relocation assistance.
