Thrive Alabama is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our collaborative team in providing acute and chronic primary healthcare services to patients living with HIV.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Delivering high-quality comprehensive medical care to adolescents and adults, with occasional pediatrics patients
- Managing general primary care, LGBTQI+ primary care, Hepatitis C, HIV, and STI testing and treatment
- Documenting patient evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans in EMR
- Collaborating with a team of providers to ensure evidence-based practice and knowledge exchange
- Providing telemedicine services, minor procedures, and reviewing EKGs
- Participating in on-call rotation and patient care team meetings
- Leading quality improvement initiatives and educating staff, patients, and the community on health conditions
Requirements for this role include :
- MD or DO with specialization in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Board certification by ABFM, AOBFM, ABIM, or AOBIM
- DEA registration and Alabama Controlled Substances Certificate eligibility
- BLS certification and eligibility for Collaborative Practice Agreements
