Position Details :

  • Title : Speech Language Pathologist
  • Location : River Grove Elementary School, Lake Oswego, OR
  • Hours : Full-time

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive educational plans.
  • Educate school staff and parents on strategies to support students' speech and language development.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding speech and language services.

Qualifications :

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Oregon state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience working with elementary school students is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping students improve their communication skills.
  • Knowledge of various assessment tools and therapy techniques.
