Position Details :
- Title : Speech Language Pathologist
- Location : River Grove Elementary School, Lake Oswego, OR
- Hours : Full-time
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive educational plans.
- Educate school staff and parents on strategies to support students' speech and language development.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding speech and language services.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Oregon state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with elementary school students is preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping students improve their communication skills.
- Knowledge of various assessment tools and therapy techniques.
