About The Position
Job Title : Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Job Specialty : Electrophysiology Laboratory Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 0700-1730, includes weekend / float requirements within the main facility Guaranteed Hours : 40 Experience : 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory License : Graduate of an accredited program of Cardiovascular / Cardiopulmonary Technology, Nursing, or a related field Certifications : - ARRT Certification- RCIS / RCES (CCI)- BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC) Must-Have : Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English Job Description : Provide professional care in Invasive Cardiac, Pediatric, and Peripheral Laboratories in accordance with hospital policies.
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment and perform all related responsibilities safely.- Maintain clinical and professional competency appropriate to patients' developmental stages and special needs.
- Represent core values : caring, commitment, integrity, teamwork, safety, communication, and service recovery.- Support and contribute to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy, meeting the needs of each patient.
- Perform care for the comfort and well-being of patients.- Perform and / or assist with treatments, therapies, and procedures under physician direction.
- Administer medication under direct supervision of a physician.- Document current clinical picture and record designated information in patient records.
- Handle responsibilities with intermittent to rapid pace, high pressure, prolonged concentration, and critical thinking.
- Meet physical requirements such as walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Support up to 50 pounds, handle medical equipment, and supplies.- Stand and walk while wearing lead radiation protection aprons weighing 10-20 lbs.
- Respond quickly to changes in patient and / or unit conditions.- Be prepared for potential exposure to radiation, secretions, and blood.
