Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the CVOR specialty will provide high-quality care in the operating room setting, focusing on cardiovascular procedures. Candidates must have recent experience and a strong skill set in both scrub and circulate roles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist during open heart and vascular surgical procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions pre- and post-operatively.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 18 months recent CVOR experience required.
  • Experience with open heart and vascular procedures preferred.
  • Must possess a valid nursing license in the state of practice.
  • Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
  • Submission of one recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor or director in the specialty.
  • Must work at least every other holiday.
