Supply Chain Manager

As Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the procurement, flow, and handling of materials from purchase to inventory in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
This role manages teams and drives procedures, processes, and projects to maintain a balanced material flow from supplier to inventory, meeting customer demand while maintaining inventory levels and accuracy in support of this company’s overall strategy.

Focus :
- Lead and manage the planning, purchasing, and logistics teams.
- Initiate and manage projects to ensure efficient and precise material flow from suppliers to the company’s warehouses.
- Maintain relevant system data for timely updates related to new product introductions, product retirement, and ECOs.
- Maintain lead time, safety stock, minimum order quantity, and other relevant system data.
- Monitor material and storage costs.
- Assess and evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities and performance.
- Lead the implementation of problem-solving and other continuous improvement opportunities.
- Perform employee reviews and take disciplinary action as necessary.
- Lead and participate in assigned projects.
- Track and analyze assigned key metrics.
- Advocate for and drive adoption of initiatives in assigned departments.
Skill Set :
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5-10 years in a supply chain manager role or related field.
- APICS certification.
- Experience in sourcing and procuring machined and fabricated metal parts; background in lighting and / or furniture is preferred.
- Continuous Improvement process training and experience.
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and / or schematics.
- Broad knowledge of ERP system functions; ERP implementation experience a plus.
- Knowledge of procurement standards.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and management.
- Exceptional analytical and planning skills.
- Good understanding of Planning, Master Scheduling, and Capacity Planning.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of database structures and SQL a plus.
