Supply Chain Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-performance electrical products and solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their dynamic team.

As Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the procurement, flow, and handling of materials from purchase to inventory in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

This role manages teams and drives procedures, processes, and projects to maintain a balanced material flow from supplier to inventory, meeting customer demand while maintaining inventory levels and accuracy in support of this company’s overall strategy.

Focus :

  • Lead and manage the planning, purchasing, and logistics teams.
  • Initiate and manage projects to ensure efficient and precise material flow from suppliers to the company’s warehouses.
  • Maintain relevant system data for timely updates related to new product introductions, product retirement, and ECOs.
  • Maintain lead time, safety stock, minimum order quantity, and other relevant system data.
  • Monitor material and storage costs.
  • Assess and evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities and performance.
  • Lead the implementation of problem-solving and other continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Perform employee reviews and take disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Lead and participate in assigned projects.
  • Track and analyze assigned key metrics.
  • Advocate for and drive adoption of initiatives in assigned departments.

Skill Set :

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5-10 years in a supply chain manager role or related field.
  • APICS certification.
  • Experience in sourcing and procuring machined and fabricated metal parts; background in lighting and / or furniture is preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement process training and experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and / or schematics.
  • Broad knowledge of ERP system functions; ERP implementation experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of procurement standards.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control and management.
  • Exceptional analytical and planning skills.
  • Good understanding of Planning, Master Scheduling, and Capacity Planning.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of database structures and SQL a plus.
