CHIEF OF THE DIVISION OF HEPATOLOGY

Montefiore Medical Center & Albert Einstein College of Medicine is currently seeking a Board Certified Hepatologist to guide the department with unique vision, enthusiasm, and experience to serve as Chief of the Division of Hepatology.

The ideal candidate is an academic physician with expertise in applying new knowledge to the practice of clinical medicine and a track record of scholarship and leadership.

The Division Chief should be a nationally respected academic Hepatologist with demonstrated clinical, administrative, and research accomplishments.

The next Division Chief will be the leader of a large academic and clinical enterprise. Candidates must possess the qualities required to be a successful leader in a complex multidisciplinary environment, including working collaboratively across various organizations and effectively promoting the Division with community providers and leaders, donors, and hospital executives.

The Montefiore Einstein Division of Hepatology was initially founded in 2007 and has served an important role in bridging the outstanding liver-related research in the Marion Bessin Liver Research Center (founded in 1974) with state-of-the-art patient care and translational research.

We have worked closely with the Division of Abdominal Transplantation in the Department of Surgery to establish an active liver transplantation program with patient outcomes that are among the best in the world.

The cadre of academic hepatology clinicians that have been recruited is truly outstanding and their interest and excitement in furthering the field are highly regarded.

Recent recruitment of a number of outstanding basic investigators has contributed to the academic breadth of the division and has expanded our bridge to disease-oriented translational research, providing fundamental insights into pathobiology and ultimate treatment of liver disease in our patients.

In addition to a competitive salary of $250,000-350,000, we offer bonuses and productivity incentives, LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
