Professional Groomer

Pet Images Resort is hiring a Professional Groomer. This position is full time and requires previous job related grooming experience. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities :

• Bathe and dry pets : Groomers use specialized shampoos and equipment to clean and dry pets' coats.
• Trim and style fur : They cut and style fur according to the pet owner's preferences or breed standards.
• Nail care : Groomers clip or file nails to maintain their health and appearance.
• Ear cleaning : They clean pet ears to prevent infections.
• Brush and comb : Groomers brush and comb coats to remove loose hair and matting.
• Health inspection : They may inspect pets for signs of pests, skin conditions, or other health issues and report their findings to the owner.
• Client communication : Groomers discuss grooming needs and preferences with pet owners, ensuring they understand the services provided.
• Appointment scheduling : They schedule grooming appointments and maintain accurate records of pets and their grooming history.
• Maintain cleanliness : Groomers keep the grooming area and equipment clean and sanitised. Required Skills and Qualities :
• Passion for animals : A genuine love for and ability to work comfortably with animals is essential.
• Patience and gentleness : Groomers need to be patient and gentle, especially with anxious or nervous pets.
• Dexterity : They need good hand-eye coordination for trimming and styling fur.
