Responsibilities
- Provide best-in-class guest service : greet guests, respond to questions / concerns quickly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guest experience.
- Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
- Process guest purchases / returns accurately using the POS system, including giving correct change and providing receipts while maintaining high guest service standards.
- Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate.
- Promote GameStop's guest benefit programs (e.g., new title reservations, trade-ins, Pro Rewards).
- Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on company policies and guidelines.
- Monitor associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Provide recognition and feedback to associates and document performance in the HR system as needed.
- Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance are completed prior to opening / closing shifts; maintain knowledge of policies, inventory, loss prevention, safety, and ethics.
- Assist with scheduling, supervise staffing to maintain guest service levels, and ensure breaks are properly managed.
- Approve payroll and manage paid time off entries; verify accurate timekeeping and pay.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are functional.
- Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ship daily when applicable.
- Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; communicate concerns to the Store Manager.
- Support the team in achieving sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete administrative duties as required.
- Perform inventory counts, stock / restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor.
- Balance and reconcile daily transaction totals; manage end-of-day closeout paperwork and cash handling per policy.
- Verify shipments and record discrepancies; conduct counts and communicate issues to leadership.
- Process defectives / recalls and stock pulls accurately with proper labeling and packing lists.
- Maintain associate and guest safety; report injuries promptly per guidelines.
- Help maintain store records and ensure manuals are up to date.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Adhere to all company policies, including those in the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
- Adhere to opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications
Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.Must be at least 18 years old.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and / or management experience preferred.Video game knowledge preferred.Key Job Skills and Abilities

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation : $17.75 - $21.75 per hour. Benefits include incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Bonus and / or other incentives may apply.
