How You’ll Make an Impact :
As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role as the bridge between patients and providers. You’ll take the lead on assisting patients with registration, effectively setting expectations with clients, and properly triaging clients to providers based on need and availability.
You’ll also provide assistance to providers by performing critical clinical duties like taking vitals and adjusting the client’s chart based on intake paperwork.
The ideal candidate will have a compassionate nature, strong administrative skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our clinics.
In this role you’ll get to :
- Warmly greet and assist patients both in person and over the phone, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable.
- Efficiently manage patient check-in and check out processes, including verifying insurance and collecting co-payments.
- Appropriately adjust medical records in the EMR.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures administering vaccinations, conducting phlebotomy, and processing prescriptions.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion in handling patient concerns and inquiries.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist provider with dedicated clinical duties.
What we’re looking for :
- People with compassionate and patient-focused attitudes.
- Medical Assistant Certification.
- CPR certification.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Prior experience in a medical office including working knowledge of medical terminology and experience interpreting patients’ insurance benefits.
- Comfort using technology including EMR systems.
Compensation details :
You can expect a competitive hourly pay ranging from $16 - $21 per hour based on relevant experience, knowledge, and other key qualities.
