To Healthy Feet Podiatry is seeking a warm, welcoming, and organized medical receptionist to join our team in our NYC offices! In this part-time role (Saturdays mandatory), you'll be the first point of contact for patients and must ensure a positive and efficient experience.
The ideal candidate will deliver a friendly, professional, and qualified first impression to all patients and visitors. This person has excellent communication and customer service skills.
He / she / they have a basic understanding of medical, administrative, and clerical procedures / systems and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Responsibilities : Create a Positive First Impression : Greet patients with a warm smile, making them feel welcomed and comfortable.
Patient Care Focus : Answer phones kindly and efficiently, explain podiatry services and benefits, and schedule appointments.
Administrative Duties : Prepare patient charts, fax records, obtain medical records, and assist with obtaining prior authorizations.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Teamwork : Collaborate effectively with the podiatrist and other staff members.
The Ideal Candidate : High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree is preferred) Minimum 1 year of receptionist experience in a medical setting Proficient in Google / Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent Communication Skills : You have a clear, friendly, professional phone presence.
You can build rapport with patients and answer questions confidently. Positive and Welcoming : You have a genuine smile and a natural ability to put patients at ease.
