Professional care provider who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients from admission through discharge.
In collaboration with the patient and family, provides theory-based professional nursing care and coordinates care delivery with various members of the interdisciplinary team
PRN Group III / B - Medical / Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (S5-2) (Georgetown)
Clinical Nurses on our 28-bed adult Medical-Surgical Intermediate Care Unit provide expert care for acutely ill patients who have a diverse range of medical and surgical diagnoses.
They treat patients after complex open and minimally invasive thoracic surgeries of the lung and esophagus as well as AAA repairs and jaw repairs.
Medical diagnoses include end-stage renal disease, end-stage liver failure, chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, sepsis, CHF, COPD, and GI bleeds.
All beds are equipped to provide continuous cardiac and pulse oximetry monitoring.

Education : Associate degree from an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Experience : At least two (2) years recent acute care experience in the relevant patient care area required.
License / Certifications : Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensure in the District of Columbia required. Certification in Basic Life Support required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required.

This position has a hiring range of $38.00 -$63.30
