Director of Dining Services is responsible for overseeing the day to day (Kosher) Foodservice operations for a 420-Resident Skilled Nursing Home and Assisted Living Community.
You will manage and lead a team of ten that consists of Assistant Director, Executive Chef, Sous Chefs and Registered Dieticians.
You will also be responsible for managing client relationships, profitability of the account, and talent development.Key Responsibilities : Operates the department in accordance with the approved budget, while providing the client with the maximum value for the dollars spentEnsures that the food offered to the residents is of superior quality (there are several dining areas, a cafe' and caterings)Directs and conducts safety, sanitation, and maintenance programsMaintains excellent relationships with residents, guests and client as well as other departments within the communityPromotes the professional growth and development of the entire teamFosters strong client relations and integrates the dining service department within the communityPreferred Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of additional experienceMinimum of five years of Proven Leadership expertiseTwo to four years of food service operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control, preferably in Healthcare or Senior Living settingKosher experience is preferredStrong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and presentationKnowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirableServSafe certified a plusMust be forward thinking, proactive and the face of Morrison Living on campusMust be experienced with computers;
