YOUR ROLE AS A DENTAL HYGIENIST
As a Dental Hygienist, you are the chief provider of preventative care in our practice. Your job is to motivate, educate, and provide excellent treatment to our patients.
Each day, you work hard to remove deposits from teeth and examine our patients for signs of oral disease. As you do so, you are attentive to detail, reassuring, and compassionate.
With enthusiasm and kindness, you teach our patients how to improve their dental hygiene, and you love to see their progress each time they return.
As part of your duties, you also take X-rays, provide fluoride treatments, and apply sealants. You also assist our dentist with exams, taking notes and keeping our patients' records up to date.
By discovering problem areas, you help the doctor correctly diagnose and treat our patients, which makes you an invaluable member of our team.
You're proud of the important role you play in our practice and in the lives of our patients. Thanks to you, their dental hygiene improves, and you're as proud as a parent to see the leaps and bounds they make!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DENTAL HYGIENIST
- Associate degree from an ADA-accredited dental hygienist school
- Current state licensure
- CPR certification
Experience is preferred. Certification in anesthesia or sedation would be a plus. Are you an active listener? Do you excel in anticipating the needs of the dentist and the patient?
Are you flexible and willing to help in other areas of the practice? Do you have a calm and reassuring demeanor? Can you work well on your own and as part of a team?
Do you have good communication skills, including the ability to quickly write condensed details? If so, you might just be perfect for this dentistry position.
WORK SCHEDULE
This dentistry job enjoys a four-day workweek of Monday - Thursday. Occasional travel may be necessary to participate in continuing education or seminars.
