Job Description
SUMMARY :
With supervision, operates millers, grinder, lathes and drill presses.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
With guidance from supervisor, operates a limited number of machines such as lathes, certain millers, grinders and drill presses.
Works from standard drawings and process sheets as well as written and verbal instruction.
With supervision, performs tape controlled machine operations and makes simple adjustments as necessary.
Makes necessary adjustments to machines during operation to ensure high product quality and unit quantity.
Responsible for maintaining normal tolerances.
Visually inspects parts and subassemblies from freedom from defects.
Maintains work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
Performs other related duties as directed.
