Horizon Roofing is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and professional individual to join our growing company as a Project Manager in our Commercial Roofing & Sheet Metal Department.

This employee is responsible for coordinating various duties between Project Estimators, and Project Superintendents. Strong organizational and time management skills are a must in this position as you will be asked to perform daily tasks with a high level of attention to detail and maintain deadlines.

Requirements

WHO IS THIS POSITION FOR

Essentially, this position is for someone who has a background in commercial roofing and / or construction, can think critically and is incredibly detail-oriented, never letting things fall through the cracks.

This position requires above average attention to detail, concern for the exact correctness of work, and a strong commitment to completing tasks on time and within budget.

The person in this position will take their work seriously, work diligently to ensure our customers are happy and tackle problems head-on.

  • Take projects over from the estimator after the notice to proceed.
  • Facilitate the contract execution process as needed.
  • Ensure materials are ordered on a timely basis.
  • Review bid documents (plans and specs) for design issues or opportunities.
  • Compile submittal documents.
  • Enter PIN.
  • Review returned submittals for issues to resolve.
  • Point of contact for all roofing and related sheet metal questions throughout the preconstruction and construction phase.
  • Budget and productivity tracking to identify overages early.
  • Make decisions to bring projects under budget.
  • Change order identification, pricing, and execution.
  • RFI and ASI execution, pricing, and tracking.
  • Facilitate the permitting process to ensure projects start on time.
  • Track and troubleshoot material procurement and project shortages.
  • Provide workable documents to the field superintendent and foreman.
  • Team leadership.
  • Support field operations and attend / facilitate job site progress meetings as necessary.
  • Facilitate a timely closeout process.
  • Compile and maintain project information and documents and facilitate proper risk management of all projects.
  • Work with accounting to bill projects each month.
  • Facilitate dispatching and communication of leaks that are present on your projects.
  • Coordinate punch list repairs and communicate completion of items.
  • Effectively manage the workload of 5-6 active projects, with additional projects in pre-construction and post-construction phases.
  • Facilitate misc. repairs and additional work that may arise after the roof is completed.

Pre-Employment Screening : Physical, Drug Screening and Background check required. Must have a valid driver’s license.
