Packaging Operator – Machine Operator
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Makes sure products are not contaminated by following appropriate change-over and set-up procedures.
- Accurately fill plastic bags, by vibratory following written manufacturing procedures.
- Sets up and accurately uses scales to ensure precise filling.
- Print required information on bags.
- Place completed bags in appropriate tray / boxes / packaging.
- Label cartons per work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout shift.
- Organizes packaging area for efficient packaging and cooperates with other team members in the area.
- Ability to meet production quotas
- Follow all safety rules and wear prescribed personal protective equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
KEY REQUIREMENTS :
- High School Diploma or equivalent or demonstrated practical knowledge and experience.
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs. Extensive walking and long periods of standing.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear.
- You will be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
